Apple Company introduced iPod video some time in April 2005 and it was the latest technology on playing videos on the run. As the new product hit the market there were lots of criticism and praises for the new product.
As is the case with any other new product there was lots discussed on the iPod video and the Apple had brought different concept of Video and the usability, its accessories, quality and the technicalities of the iPod video was under scanner.
The main praise was that the image and text quality of the new iPod video is very good and that it revolutionizes the concept of iPod, which was a hearing devise and not watching. The people prefer to watch the movies sitting comfortably at home or in a movie whereas Apple was promoting the idea of a video on the run, while walking or exercising. Therefore, it was the concept of watching the music videos on the go.
The battery life of the iPod is just 2 hours while watching a video 2 hours is not enough to finish a movie so you can just watch a small television series or an episode of some serial. The usual battery life is 20 hours more than the 16 hours they use to give in the earlier model but to watch the video it is only two hours. You can watch the series while riding a cab or in the train.
You can also watch the photos plus read some text documents as the video watching is not the only that features the iPod as it has the big color screen, which can be used. Earlier models were easily scratched but the iPod video has a protective sleeve which while on the go will keep it safe and scratch free.
Apart from the technical discussions, the critics are also impressed by the good look and the colors of the iPod Video.
This shows that the company Apple is trying to be innovative and keeping in mind the consumers is in the market to satisfy the customer needs who are more and more demanding and they expect a lot from the Apple Company in their future innovations.
Based on this, it is expected the new type of iPods to be improved even more with new video settings and accessories.
